Elizabeth Ebrahimi joined Bradshaw Trees Law as an Employment Partner (non-director) in December 2023. Elizabeth qualified as a solicitor in 2009 and has spent the vast majority of her career to date at Gateley Legal. Liz is highly experienced in a variety of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters and has acted for a wide variety of clients including individuals, partnerships, companies of all sizes, HR professionals, charities and trade unions. She has significant experience in Tribunal litigation and is also experienced in High Court litigation, mediation and gangmaster representation. She advises on all employment documentation, workplace investigations and all employment issues such as grievances and disciplinaries, settlement agreements, discrimination, whistleblowing, GDPR, holiday pay, changing terms and conditions and contractual disputes. Liz is also experienced in advising on equal pay and complex strategy including restructures, TUPE compliance and senior exits. She is also able to provide training to clients covering all types of employment matters. Elizabeth is commercially astute, approachable and provides pragmatic tailored advice to both employees and employers in a user-friendly manner. Examples of work handled by Elizabeth include: Advised on a restructure and redundancy process for a large retailer which resulted in over 100 redundancies being made and no Tribunal claims being pursued. Negotiated a high-level senior exit for an employee, which resulted in their settlement package increasing by circa 50%. Drafted employment contracts and a handbook for a sporting charity. Successfully represented a Respondent against a Tribunal claim for unfair dismissal and whistleblowing where the Claimant was claiming career ending losses. Successfully represented a SME company in High Court litigation to enforce restrictive covenants against a former employee and their new employer. Successfully represented a Claimant in a Tribunal claim for sex, pregnancy and maternity discrimination which resulted in compensation and changes being made to the Claimant’s place of work.
