Shockingly bad company
Awful company - can’t seem to settle simple estates, no communication from them at all. Mr Salmon claimed the estate should have been settled (finally after 3years) at the start of the year but no monies have been received and they won’t respond to our emails or letters of complaints. Except to say they will respond by Friday and never do - honestly they can’t meet their own deadlines.

Shocking service
How do I start with this, Mr John Salmon should not be allowed to practice law. My fathers estate was "very simple" to execute and he did so after taking over £12k to do so. As it turns out, he distributed the funds incorrectly and now I have the law firms insurance company intimidating me and my sister with legal action to recoup the money that he signed off on legal documents. The commination with the business was shocking from start to finish, was rude to the estate that delt with the sale of the families property. The company even admit they have made the errors yet we as the family have to pay for his errors after all they claim to be the experts.

Probate
Poor service from Mr John Salmon (Probate Solicitor) full of excuse after excuse for delay in administering the estate. Would not recommend this firm or this particular solicitor.

Many thanks for the review. I am sorry you feel that way but it is difficult to comment without specific details. I am more than happy to try and resolve any issue if you would like to contact me direct at pjf@cheshirelawassociates.com. May I point out that there have been delays out of this firms control in terms of the Probate Registry and other third parties in general. Kind regards Paul.J.Ford Cheshire Law Associates.

An absolute disgrace
I would recommend you avoid this law firm.
They handled my wife's parents probate.
Very poor communication, extremely slow, didn't take responsibility, didn't adhere to the commitments they made and then charged us almost £12k at the end of a year long process (which should have been completed in half the time).

The facts are incorrect. The firm acted in relation to one estate. The individual died on the 8th of September 2021 and Grant of Probate obtained on the 25th of March 2022. The time frame was reasonable as the Probate Registry had a glut of pending probate applications in view of the pandemic and staff working from home. After renovation , the property was then placed on the market with a view to a sale. This firm was not instructed and therefore had no control over the sale transaction or indeed the time frame for the renovation. Completion of the sale took place on the 6th of October 2022 and upon receipt of the sales proceeds the distribution of the same was completed after receiving the appropriate bank details and carrying out all necessary final checks. On the issue of costs the invoice was in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions signed by the client of the firm.
