I have joined Duncan Lewis in March 2024 as a Caseworker in the Public Law team working in Bahar Ata's team and under the supervision of Alex Dempsey. I will be assisting with legal aid-funded cases, particularly in areas concerning: Habeas corpus (unlawful detention claims) Urgent and out-of-hours applications for interim relief (removal & deportation cases, urgent asylum support, child support and social services support challenges) Challenges to government policy Challenges to non-appealable government and public authority decisions & determinations Renewals Actions in the county court (historic false imprisonment litigation) Cart judicial reviews I have experience working in private immigration matters and have pro-bono experience assisting in asylum cases within the Birmingham Law Centre.
