David grew up in South Africa attending St Andrews College, Grahamstown and Rhodes University where he studied English Literature and Classics before deciding to concentrate on the law. After university David set out to travel the world and on his way met his wife Becky. They moved to Norfolk from London where their children were born before the whole family moved to Malvern in 2007. David worked with March & Edwards in Worcester, then Paytons in Malvern, before deciding to start his own firm. For the past 15 years David has specialised in helping people to make the wills and powers of attorney to suit their own unique needs. He has also helped many families and executors navigate the probate process. At the same time he has assisted trustees in running their trusts and meeting the regulatory and tax demands of these entities. In a field where the law is always changing, David’s knowledge regarding inheritance tax, powers of attorney and the taxation of trusts allows you to rest assured that the advice you receive is up to date. He has been involved in drafting wills where he has subsequently dealt with the probate of those estates, enabling him to appreciate the complexities involved in the process and anticipate many of the problems that might arise. He has prepared powers of attorney and dealt with their subsequent registration, revocation and advising the attorneys on dealing with the donor’s assets. He has acted as executor, attorney and trustee for clients who have asked him to carry out this role for them.David grew up in South Africa attending St Andrews College, Grahamstown and Rhodes University where he studied English Literature and Classics before deciding to concentrate on the law. Wonderful experience at Kitcat & Co
I approached David and his team at Kitcat & Co to help me write my Will. A number of family friends had recommended David and he did not disappoint. He took the time to explain everything to me and at no point made me feel inferior. His friendly, warm and professional approach gave me a lot of reassurance and I would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

Brother's Estate.
David Kitcat handled the estate of my late brother, which became more drawn-out and complicated than originally anticipated thanks to an unexpected claim under Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975. During this difficult time for the family David was very supportive and professional and handled the tidying up of my Brother's Estate; whilst the protracted dealings with the claim process took place as a separate process.
David also kept to the original fee agreement, despite the additional duration and input he had to provide in consultations and advice.
A calm and friendly support during a sad and difficult time.

Excellent!
We have used Kitcat & Co to draw up our will and we were so impressed we recommended him to my mother to update her will. David was professional through out, with first class legal knowledge. He gave clear and practical advise and was happy to explain legal terminology and answer all questions. In addition his fees were very fair and he was very straight forward about costings. We were very happy with the service he provided and would thoroughly recommend him.

A Perfect Experience
My husband and I used David for our wills. It was a faultless experience. David was personable and professional and the meeting was un-rushed and informative. He took the time to answer all of our questions and concerns, which made the whole experience painless, efficient and far less daunting than we expected. He also has an excellent memory when it comes to remembering his clients. A true personal touch.
We could not recommend Kicat & Co Solicitors highly enough.
