Ieuan is a partner and head of the dispute resolution team. His main area of expertise is within commercial disputes. This includes disputes between shareholders and directors, partnerships, as well as disputes concerning franchise agreements and enforcement of restrictive covenants. As a team we also deal with professional negligence claims. Ieuan's experience is extensive and ranges from the County Court right up to Court of Appeal level, where he successfully defended a claim concerning the relationship between an insurance broker and the insured. He also has experience in dealing with disputes in different jurisdictions outside of England and Wales, including proceedings in Africa, the EEA and the Far East. Ieuan specialises in achieving the best results for his clients outside of court proceedings wherever possible. This saves them the time, money and aggravation of being caught up in the court process. This can include settling by means of alternative dispute resolution (ADR), such as mediation. Ieuan is also experienced in several different types of arbitration, having acted for clients in LCIA, LMAA and WIA proceedings.
