I came in with expectations of what to put in my will, but after taking advice, I adjusted the wording, and added points that I had not realised were extremely relevant.
I was very pleased to take the advice as in certain circumstances people may have had some inheritance that I would not have been happy with.

Probate/IHT procedure
Latham and Co was recommended to me by a friend who had instructed the firm in connection with probate for both his parents. I was extremely happy with how Phillipa handled what was ultimately a lengthy and very frustrating case. I could not have achieved the required result without her.

Estate administration
Being an Executor for a loved one's estate brings a number of new responsibilities that we are not prepared for and can seem quite daunting to those of us who have not had that experience.
Phillipa eased me through the process with patience, professionalism and consideration. If I was unsure of something she explained it to me clearly and kept me well informed of progress.
I felt in safe hands with Phillipa handling the Estate , I found her to be calm and reassuring, experienced and approachable and I would definately recommend her.

Settling estate and probate
I acted as executor and needed some help navigating the process. I had used Latham & Co for other legal matters and Phillipa Howett acted for me. From the beginning she was approachable and explained all aspects in understandable stages. Communication was excellent - post, phone calls, emails etc and if I needed any extra information it was always dealt with without a delay. The Probate was handled by Phillipa and after I had given the information and paperwork to her everything ran smoothly. It made what could have been a stressful situation so much easier.

Dealing with my mum's estate
I and my family have really appreciated the care and attention Phillipa and Lisa have paid to dealing with my mum’s estate. They made the process easy and pain free. I would also like to thank Kate and her team for the professional manner in which they managed the sale of my mum's bungalow. It will be 9 months to the day on the 15 June since my mum died, so I’m grateful the process has been concluded so quickly and professionally.
