I have over 30 years of legal experience in Scotland, England and Hong Kong which has given me a wide variety of different types of cases. Ann Logan and Alannah Jones of Balfour & Manson were my principal points of contact over the 3 years of my case prior to its successful resolution. Alannah was the Senior Solicitor responsible through most of the case for its day to day management. Ann as the Partner was, however, always closely involved and fully informed about the progress of the case and due to other circumstances took overall direct responsibility in the concluding phase of the case. This survey asks that I click the relevant factors that describe the firm as represented by Alannah and Ann, such as professionalism, honesty, knowledge etc. I have clicked every one of these factors as I can honestly say that throughout the 3 years of my case there was never an instance when I was left questioning ANY aspect of Ann or Alannah's work. Both were the epitome of professionalism, be it in their advice, their knowledge, communication or any aspect of their engagement with me. Possibly the one omission from the factors listed in the survey is CARING. Perhaps it's more relevant in cases of medical negligence that the client's experiences that brought them to seeking legal redress are understood at a more emotional level. Ann and Alannah showed many times in their interactions with me that they cared. I could ask any question and I would receive a complete and expansive answer that clearly demonstrated their desire to ensure that I understood matters and they would always make sure to allay my worries. At the latter stages of the case when Ann was directly responsible for all matters, her expertise was clear to see - calm, thorough, assured, thoughtful, rigorous. From the very start of my case everyone I dealt with was very friendly and helpful, showing empathy with me as it was very emotional going over the details of the case.
Ann was lovely when I meet her and put me at ease, Alannah always kept me up to date with everything with the case and answered all my questions and queries, everyone of the team where fantastic and am truly grateful for all their help.

Balfour and Manson review
I had a great experience with Balfour and Mason. Both Ann and Alannah were amazing throughout the process. They were very empathetic and professional during all of our meetings and phone calls. A big bonus for me was being able to complete all communication virtually which greatly reduced disruption to my normal life in an already stressful period of time. They also kept me up to date throughout the process at regular intervals. The case took awhile to progress due to delays with the other company but they concluded the case with great efficiency and with a very satisfactory outcome.

Knowledgeable and efficient

Medical negligence
It was hard to talk about my feelings and issues regarding my case but Ann made me feel comfortable and listened to me compassionately. Ann has vast knowledge of her field as she contacted the right people for their expert opinions and advice. She supported and guided me throughout this process. Ann Logan Balfour and Manson
Words cannot express how happy we are with Balfour and Manson and the highly professional services they provided to us during what has been the worst time of our families life. Everyone in the Balfour and Manson team were great from start to finish of an 8 year legal battle.
