Slow. Unhelpful. Careless. Unprofessional.
We intended to buy an auction property. They included an "Auction fee" add-on on top of their initial (automated) conveyancing quote, but did not explain what would they do in exchange for that. Paid deposit Β£300 & shared the legal pack with them 8 calendar days before the auction. They did not provide any feedback/response on the legal pack in a week time. Their client care letter contained several mistakes (e.g. misspelled property street address). It took them 2 days to correct it, but the document was not loading in eCOS Infotrack (maybe it was a technical issue on Infotrack's side or the corrected terms document was not uploaded properly - not sure), so could not even complete the onboarding process until the time of the auction.
In the end we lost the bidding (as sold well beyond our estimate), but I'm glad that we don't have to rely on Pepperells Solicitors.
If you are thinking about using Pepperells Solicitors for a (potential) auction property buy, you should keep looking further!
