My experience of JMR Solicitors has been great. I have been updated through out the process of the sale of my house. The staff were helpful and friendly throughout.Thank you. You made a very stressful time more bearable. I would definitely use the firm again.

I have recently dealt with this firm to complete on a property being bought. They have been efficient, kept me up to date and did the work swiftly and with ease .. I recommend this company very highly!! I understand the the firm have undergone a restructure internally but they seem to be coming through the worst. Thank you very much.

Do not appoint JMR Solicitors for your conveyancing, you will regret it.
I would actually be surprised if they are still in business.
They are the most unprofessional and the least competent agency I have come across in recent times. To top it all, they have an attitude problem too.
I was selling my property in Dudley and buying one in Bournemouth.
I found JMR on the internet and they were extremely cheap in comparison with others, almost half as expensive. But as I realised later on, what is the point if you hardly receive any service!
I was going to lodge a formal complaint against them with the Law Society England and the Solicitors Regulation Authority. But to be fair to JMR, they did not let me down on the day of completion for the sale in Dudley, so I decided against making any formal complaint. But I had sleepless nights and a lot of stress before we got there.
At that point I also decided to disengage them from the purchase in Bournemouth and gave the conveyancing to another firm. A very wise decision it was and my purchase was completed in less than a month. I had asked JMR if they could forward the initial searches to the new firm but they did not bother even to respond. Probably they had not done any searches even after 3 months.
I had paid JMR £190 for the preliminary searches but decided to cut my losses and run.
I am posting this review just so that at least some of you would be spared the ordeal of dealing with JMR. Do not be tempted to engage them simply because their fees is very 'competitive', that would be a very bad decision - for your health, peace of mind and your finances !

I have been patient enough and am on the final edge with JMR and finally changed solicitors today . I have never experienced such poor service in my whole life . It’s actually quite shocking a firm like this can run this way and I have been involved in several property transactions .
Seems like it’s not just me by reading the other reviews. It’s quite shocking giving your clients this sort of stress it’s appalling. Why is it so hard for JMR to simply just do their job? - That’s what the customers are paying you for! And why your open for Business?
- they say they will reply to your emails in 72 hours as auto response But 100% they will not respond. They can take weeks to respond and even then that will be incorrect when they do
- Constantly be lied to for 2 months that waiting for searches email proof too ( when in fact no searches were applied for in the first place ) only found out when I chased this up )
- Not checking emails or responding etc. for example queries have already been replied to by other solicitors but JMR apparently are still awaiting for them.
- You can never get though to them even if you make 20 calls . The phone just rings and cuts off.
- Spoke to a manager regarding a complaint but no complaint process given again assured service will improve but straight away back to same level of service. They simply do not care . Why are you open for business then ? If you can’t simply do your job ? Pretty simple right ?
- It takes 5 seconds to simply just reply to an email or acknowledgment or even an update would be suffice. They simply just won’t reply to you. Even the other side is waiting for their replies! Let’s not even get to the voicemails as they will be simply be ignored.
- even if you complain about the service. It’s like they simply do not care. They will just make excuses seems to be in some sort of denial that they are always right! Just look at the other reviews!
Officially sacked this firm. I am actually considering to contact Manchester news and dailymail and twitter about this incompetent firm. I have asked JMR to forward my file and process my refund which again no reply yet

Terrible experience with JMR Solicitors. Lost the sale of my property due to buyers not getting any response to phone calls or e-mails which I was later told was because of staff leaving and taking on too much work. I lost money on surveys and searches on my the property I was going to purchase. Keep well away

A very poor experience. Their phone lines are continually engaged and they don’t reply to messages left. Written work has typos and grammatical errors. Emails ignored and queries not answered. Simple work takes weeks. My transaction is still not at exchange after 5 months. Avoid.

Took ages, didn’t reply to emails/phone calls, made mistakes, I think they just relay emails on from the other sides solicitors and don’t help you with any of the paperwork side of things one bit.

JMR are conveyancing solicitors for very simple sale of house (no chain, cash buyer) - lengthy delays of 3-4 weeks between each step, total lack of communication or update, don't reply to emails or phone, have to escalate and chase multiple times even for the simplest action, the only update I get is from my buyer's solicitor - even explicit complaints go unanswered and unacknowledged - their unprofessionalism and unresponsiveness is risking my sale. This has been a nightmare with stress, sleepless nights - avoid at all costs.
